Representative Thomas Massie, holder of multiple patents, has introduced H.R.5874 – Restoring America’s Leadership in Innovation Act. The Bill proposes repeal of First-to-File System, One-Year Grace Period,  Inter Partes and Post-Grant Review, as well as, abolishing inter partes and post-grant review, and PTAB.  Seana Cranston, Congressman Massie’s Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director, will discuss H.R. 5874 during a meeting of the Patent Practice Group at 12:30PM on February 25th.

Seana Cranston Biography: 

Prior to working for Congressman Massie, Seana worked as Legislative Counsel for Sen. Rand Paul and as a Legislative Assistant for Congressman Ron Paul.  She also completed a 2-year clerkship for the Honorable John M. Roll, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona.  Seana works on patent issues for Congressman Massie in her role as lead staff for his work as a member of the U.S. House Judiciary committee.
